Adipose is a loose connective tissue full of fat cells. This is just one of three connective tissues that fills spaces between and penetrates into organs. Adipose tissue acts as a firm, protective packing around and between organs, bundles of muscle fibers, and nerve, and it supports blood vessels. It also act as an insulation for the body because fat is a poor conductor of heat. It protects us from excessive heat loss or excessive heat increase in temperature.
