Depression is also something that could show up, if you are the type to experience depression. What is the meaning of obesity?

  • Obesity is the state in which your body has too much body fat and is stored under the skin and it pretty much means you are fat and need to loose some wait, hate to be harsh but its the truth.

    Obesity is a condition when somebody has more than 30% body fat for women (normal is 25%) and more than 23% for men (normal is 18-20%). Such people are treated obese.
    Also, BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measure for obesity and overweight. It is calculated by formula:

    BMI = weight (kg) / height2 (m2) = 703 * weight (lb) / height2 (in2)

    If you have BMI > 30, this extra body weight is already abnormal and could be dangerous for your health.

  • Answer: Short answer... most likely not. Most people who are obese have it in their genes. Others just let themselves go. I suppose if their was no television certain people would be more fit because they could not just sit around all day eating and watching t.v. , but there would still be other things to do instead of working out. Television is not what caused me to gain weight, but my distant cousin gained about 10 pounds when he bought his t.v. I know many healthy people with televisions. Again, it really depens. I think t.v. is not the main cause of obesity, but it might effect a certain number of people. They might watch t.v. for hours and hours whlie they eat, but in that situation the eating is the main problem. Do you understand where I am going with this. It is eating in front of the t.v. that would probably cause weight gain.
    I completley agree. I have done some research and it shows that TV itself doesnt have anything to do with it. All it is is letting yoursel go and you can eat anywhere TV is just something you can do without really doing anything at all.
