  • Answer: There are many ways ...depending on the amount of pain felt once the cyst ruptures, and how one prefers to stop it.
If you are able to take pain medicine , you can take Ibuprofin, Tylenol, Aleve, etc. ....
Of course if you can take prescription pain meds ...Vicodin, Darvocet, Lortab, Naproxin... etc.. and have access to them...That should be enough to stop the pain.
"Benzos" or prescription Anxiety medications ...Lorazopam,valium, xanax, klonopin etc... can also help relieve pain from a rupturing cyst.
It is not always necessary to go to the hospital ,but sometimes it can be. You can also stop ovarian cyst pain by getting plenty of rest, and a heating pad that you apply to tender area.Of course there is always birth control......or good old fashioned shot of vodka...
