Answer: Mainly the mall , try Westfield in riccarton or Northlands. If its summer try the Beach or Jelly park!
The movies- be sneaky, if you see a girl you like go inline after her and order tickets to the same movie - start conversation when your waiting for the movie to start (careful not to stalker the chick tho hahaha)
*If you like a girl, just go talk to her, introduce yourself honestly she will be very flattered and a lot of single girls are just to shy to make the first move !*
If your not really a mall person, try Zeebedees, its a hang out for teenagers, where there are a lot of people just hanging out: there are Pool tables, Dancing, Live music etc PLUS the drinks a really cheap!!! If you want you can enter a band - that would help attract the ladies ;)
Answer: In November 1847 John Robert Godley and Edward Gibbon Wakefield met to plan the Canterbury settlement. Wakefield believed that colonisation of countries like New Zealand could be organised in such a way that towns could be planned before settlers arrived. These towns would be like a community back in England, with landowners, small farmers and workers, and with churches, shops and schools. Early in 1848 the Canterbury Association was formed, and it was decided to name the capital city Christchurch after the college John Godley had gone to at Oxford University.
